Main duties of the job
To assist in providing a liaison service and advice to bereaved relatives in matters connected with deceased patients. The post holder will ensure that patients and their relatives, in the case of a death, are dealt with sensitively, courteously and diplomatically at all times.
The Bereavement Office is a close knit team of 3 – who sensitively, effectively liaise and support the Bereaved at a very difficult, and sad time.
We work in close collaboration with the Medical Examiner’s Office, the Mortuary, Funeral Directors, Registry Office and the Coroner’s Office (Where indicated).
We live and breath the Patient First Ethos and this does not cease once death has occurred and continues till care can be transferred to their final destination
