Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organisation. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in accounting software and a passion for maintaining financial integrity.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or software upgrades.
- Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external partners regarding account statuses and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and update financial records and spreadsheets.
- Support payroll processing and related record-keeping.
- Assist in VAT returns and other HMRC compliance tasks.
- Handle general administrative duties related to finance
Requirements
- Proven experience in an accounting or administrative role, preferably as an Account Administrator.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
