We have a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly and supportive dietetic service, working in the Adult Clinical Community team. This is a new role and would suit a newly qualified Dietitian or a Dietitian with some experience who is looking to develop their community healthcare skills.

Main duties of the job

You will work within a well-established adult team delivering home visits, virtual and face-to-face clinics across a varied adult caseload. A focus of the role will be contributing to the delivery and development of the Nutrition Support Pathway.

The role also includes:

Group education sessions with patients, carers and families

Opportunities to develop your enteral feeding knowledge and skills

Development of health education resources

Contributing to development and quality improvement initiatives

You will have:

Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

A passion for delivering high-quality care

A strong interest in developing community-based dietetic services

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to build effective relationships with patients, families and professionals from a variety of backgrounds

A commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Person Specification

Qualifications & Training

Essential

  • Degree qualification in Dietetics (or pending)
  • Registered Dietitian with HCPC (or pending)

Desirable

  • Evidence of on-going professional development

Experience

Essential

  • Sound clinical knowledge of dietetic treatment of adult patients
  • Broad, up to date, evidence based clinical knowledge

Desirable

  • Teaching skills with experience of delivering group presentations

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills based on fluency on the English language
  • Strong organisational and time management skills. The ability to prioritise and manage own caseload
  • Excellent team working skills
