As part of the Digital Healthcare team, Applications have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Applications Project Coordinator. The successful applicant will be part of a team who are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of corporate and clinical applications to support safe and effective patient care whilst delivering the digital strategy.

The Applications Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, implementation and delivery of digital applications projects for the team.

The post holder will coordinate project activities relating to the implementation, upgrade and optimisation of applications, to enable projects that are delivered on time, within scope and in accordance with NHS standards and governance.

The post holder will work closely with project managers, application specialists, clinical and operational teams, suppliers and external partners to coordinate project plans, maintain project documentation, monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and support effective communication with stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Diploma level or equivalent or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge.

Desirable

  • PRINCE2 Foundation.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Working knowledge of the NHS.
  • Experience of coordinating projects within an NHS, healthcare or comparable environment.
  • Experience maintaining project documentation, action logs and project plans.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different departments.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and governance.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of healthcare workflows.
  • Experience working with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira or similar.
  • Understanding of NHS standards, including clinical safety and change control processes.
