Are you an experienced digital leader with a passion for transforming healthcare through technology, data and innovation?

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced digital leader to join our senior leadership team as Associate Director of Digital Transformation. Reporting to the Medical Director, you will act as the Trust’s Chief Digital and Chief Data Officer, leading our digital, data and technology agenda to support outstanding patient care and operational excellence.

You will drive the Trust’s digital strategy, lead large-scale transformation programmes, optimise our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and digital systems, and ensure effective cyber security, information governance and business continuity arrangements. Working closely with clinical and operational leaders, you will champion innovation, data-driven decision making and emerging technologies to improve patient and staff experiences.

Main duties of the job

You will be an accomplished senior leader with significant experience delivering digital and technology transformation within a complex organisation, ideally healthcare. Educated to Master’s level or equivalent, with a relevant professional qualification, you will bring expertise in digital strategy, data, cyber security, governance, programme delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Master’s level or equivalent level of professional experience
  • Professional qualification in digital, informatics, data or technology
  • Postgraduate qualification in leadership or management
  • Project or programme management certificate such as PRINCE 2

Desirable

  • Recognised service delivery (ITIL) qualification to practitioner level or equivalent experience

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Ability to execute major business change
  • Expert knowledge of industry standard protocols
  • Cyber security expertise
  • Understanding of Information Governance legislation, structures

Desirable

  • NHS digital strategies and national policy frameworks
  • EPR systems and interoperability standards

Experience

Essential

  • Significant senior leadership experience in digital/ technology within healthcare or comparable complex organisations

Desirable

  • Experience of managing commercial suppliers to pre-approved service level agreements/ contracts
