Programme Description

What does this team do?

Our IT audit team focuses on understanding the technology systems that businesses use to record transactions and report company results and key metrics. Deep diving into how a business works and identifying risks that may exist to the technologies being used. Once known, we identify and test the controls management put in place to mitigate these risks – across areas like access security, change management and system operations. We also acquire an expert knowledge of the company’s cyber security processes and use of emerging technologies, such as AI and robotic process automation.

In this technology focused team, you’ll obtain valuable insight into how large, complex and high performing businesses are run, what technology and digital processes enable business success, how this connects to their broader business strategy and how they manage and control the risks.

You’ll learn to speak ‘tech’ in a way that can be understood, explaining to others the impact of IT issues on the company and its financial results. A highly sought-after skill.

You’ll get to work on a range of businesses from large international companies listed in the FTSE100, to smaller entities. Each will give you invaluable knowledge and insight. You may even have the opportunity to travel overseas, as many of the organisations we work with have a global footprint.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?

You’ll need to have obtained or be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any degree discipline and have graduated by September 2025 for the Autumn 2025 intake.

What kind of work will I do?

By joining us you’ll have the chance to work directly with major clients, perfecting your skills through our excellent training programme. Early on in your career you’ll be given responsibility for developing people and managing teams, supported by us every step of the way.

  • Identifying risks associated with businesses and their use of technology.
  • Designing and executing testing processes and controls to ensure that they are introduced and working effectively.
  • Reporting back any findings through presentations and reports.
  • Thinking about how to innovate our processes to make the audit more efficient and give greater insight to our audited businesses.
