Business Analyst: Sponsorship Available

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs. This position requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and proficiency in data analysis tools to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including business cases, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Conduct data analysis using SQL and other analytical tools to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Assist in the design and implementation of solutions using tools such as Tableau and Visio.
• Participate in project management activities, ensuring timely delivery of projects within scope.
• Support testing efforts by developing test cases and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide ongoing support for existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
• Utilise programming skills in VBA or R for data manipulation and reporting tasks.
• Engage with technical teams to ensure that system requirements are met effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience in business analysis or a related field is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis is necessary.
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau is advantageous.
• Experience with project management methodologies will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of Bash Unix shell scripting is a plus.
• Understanding of server environments and their impact on business processes is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for effective stakeholder engagement.
