Are you a passionate and
dynamic Leader seeking to develop and manage a service? An exciting opportunity
has arisen within our cross-country CAMHS service to work as a Locality Service
Manager. You will manage various CAMHS portfolios across Herefordshire and
Worcestershire.

Within recent years
CAMHS services have received additional investment. Locally, significant
service developments have been undertaken within our CAMHS Crisis and Home
Treatment Team, CAMHS Eating Disorder Service, Mental Health Support Teams in
Schools (WEST) and the CAMHS Youth Team. These developments have led to an
increase in service offer to children and young people across Herefordshire and
Worcestershire and have received positive feedback from Children, Families and Partner
agencies. We continue to review and develop our offer across all CAMHS
services, the Locality Service Manager will play a pivotal role within this.

This role is a cross-county
role, with bases across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The successful
candidate will be sited at a base most convenient for them with travel expected,
travel expenses are claimed back through the trusts travel expenses policy.

Main duties of the job

The CAMHS Locality Services Manager role will support the review,
development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives alongside the
clinical leadership of the service. You will provide operational leadership and
work alongside other senior colleagues and in conjunction with Adult Mental
Health colleagues across both Herefordshire and Worcestershire. You will form
part of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire senior leadership team.

We seek to appoint an
enthusiastic and dynamic service manager who is passionate about CAMHS. A
demonstrable track record of CAMHS and leadership experience is a must. You
will have experience of supervising clinicians and be able to evidence
operational leadership skills and abilities, as well as being able to gather,
analyse, report and act upon data. You must be registered with a professional
body.

Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of NHS or social care policy environment.
  • Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures both clinical and organisational.
  • Understanding of the performance and governance arrangements of the Trust.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children/vulnerable adults.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of audit.
  • Knowledge and experience of research and development.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience working within a health or social care environment (as demonstrated by 5 years post registration experience or equivalent).
  • Previous experience of managing a health or social care service.
  • Experience of developing and implementing contentious change management programmes.
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience of leading audits and clinical quality reviews.
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision to staff.
  • Experience of managing HR issues.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Post Graduate Diploma in relevant Heath and Social Care field.
  • Professional clinical qualification and current registration within a health or social care profession.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

  • Management qualification.
