Job summary
To support the Career Development and Apprenticeship Team in the delivery and evaluation of the Care Certificate and Care Certificate Supervisor programmes to meet service priorities and quality standards. To deliver training on the level 2 and 3 healthcare apprenticeships. Being able to teach, assess in practice and mark work in line with apprenticeship standard requirements.
To support with work experience programmes and provide pastoral support to candidates in practice including T levels and BTech students.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have up to date experience in a hospital setting delivering care. A foundation degree in health or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
They will have experience in delivering clinical education or have had a mentorship/ supervisory role in practice. They will be familiar with the Care Certificate induction and its standards and be able to teach new support staff on induction to the hospital, including resuscitation and vital signs.
Microsoft skills will be required to enable them to plan lessons and create PowerPoint presentations for teaching . Delivery of the level 2 and level 3 healthcare apprenticeship teaching and assessing will be part of this role so having the TAQA qualification would be essential.

Essential
- Maths and English at GCSE GRADE C/4 or Level 2 Functional skills.
- Level 5 foundation degree in health or equivalent relevant teaching qualification.
- Teaching and assessing qualification for apprenticeships (TAQA)

- Care Certificate Supervisor or mentor
Experience

- Recent acute clinical experience within a hospital setting.
- Ability to teaching a skill
