Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Intensive Care Medicine (ICU & NCCU) at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals.
Posts are available in both the John Farman ICU and the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) for a period of 12 months commencing from 03 February 2027.
The posts are part of the middle grade rota so candidates must have at least two years post-foundation experience in acute specialties which have regular contact with critically ill patients, ideally with at least 6 months at ST3 level or above.
These posts are particularly suitable for candidates considering out of program experience from their base specialty at intermediate, or advanced level of ICM training, or those requiring additional post-CCT experience in a major teaching hospital. Trainees from a Medicine, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine or Surgery background are all equally welcome.
Main duties of the job
As well as an amazing clinical experience, opportunities exist for training/experience in other areas of interest such as management, echocardiography, bronchoscopy and education. The Intensive Care Unit is involved in a number of multi-centre research studies, as well as its own program of research, and trainees are welcome to contribute to this work.Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of commencement is required.
