Job summary
This post is part time, 26 hours per week.
Clinical Psychology is highly valued in our CAMHS Learning Disability Multi-Disciplinary Team, and we are looking for an experienced clinician to join our service for children aged 0 to 18 in Gloucestershire. The role will be focussed on supporting the experienced nursing team with highly complex children around formulation of their needs to deliver psychological interventions for the child, family and network. It is an opportunity to further develop a specialism in Learning Disability.

Please note that we are open to considering applications from candidates suitable for a development opportunity. Appointment would be at Band 7, with progression to Band 8a upon successful completion of the required development objectives.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have:
- A Doctorate Qualification in Clinical Psychology, and current registration
- Knowledge/ experience working with children and young people with a learning disability
- Knowledge/ experience working with Neuro diversity.
- Skills in specialist assessment and formulation of a full range of children and young people’s needs
- Ability to offer specialist interventions where indicated
- Keep the child/young person’s experiences and voice at the heart of their work and communicate clearly to children and families.
- Contribute to MDTs and professional networks, and offer consultation
- Understand the roles of multiple professional agencies in supporting the emotional, behavioural and relational needs of the child and be able to provide personalised care plans to reflect changing needs.
- Skills, and experience in delivering supervision, consultation, training to a wide range of staff.
- Some experience in leading development projects, service evaluation, audit
- Ability to work with complex clinical presentations including risk management.
