Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care and Support Workers to provide high-quality assistance to individuals within their own homes and care settings. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by helping with mobility and household tasks
- Develop and follow personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition
- Utilise IT systems to update care documentation and communicate effectively with team members
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Uphold health and safety standards, including infection control procedures and safeguarding protocols
Requirements
- Valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
- Ability to work independently whilst following care plans accurately
