Job summary
Consultant Breast Surgeon
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, patient-centred Breast Surgery service, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are consistently maintained and developed. The role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support the effective delivery of services in line with the Trust’s clinical and operational objectives.
The consultant will play an active role in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the continual development of the service and ensuring adherence to best practice and national guidelines. In addition, the post holder will support the training and supervision of junior medical staff and contribute to teaching, research, and innovation within the speciality.
The role requires a commitment to continuous professional development, participation in appraisal and job planning processes, and flexibility to adapt to evolving service needs. Upholding the Trust’s values of dignity and respect, teamwork, compassion, and safety and quality is fundamental to the role, alongside a commitment to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care at all times
