City & Hackney Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
X10 PAs Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
The post-holder would be expected to provide Consultant input and clinical leadership to the Emotional and Behavioral Pathway four days per week and Paediatric Liaison Team one day per week.
The role of the Consultant is to provide psychiatric assessment and treatment, contribute a psychiatric perspective, provide senior clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, offer consultation to other professionals and agencies and facilitate the development of the team and wider service

Main duties of the job
You will join 4 (3.0 WTE) other Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists based in C&H CAMHS. In addition to the above clinical duties, clinical supervision, teaching, training and research, the service takes part in the Trust’s active and extensive Healthcare Governance and Quality Improvement agenda.
The local population is very diverse with high levels of deprivation. There are good working relationships with Community CAMHS, Social Care, Education and Third Sector agencies through the C&H CAMHS Alliance.
Applications will be welcomed from candidates included in or eligible for the Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining the CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

- Full GMC registration
- MRCPsych parts 1&2 or equivalent

- Possesses an extensive range of clinical knowledge and excellent clinical skills
- Displays sound professional judgement
Teaching
Essential
- Experience of teaching in small groups and lecturing
- Commitment to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, academic and clinical
