Job summary

The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery unit is expanding to meetthe needs of the population of East Kent. We are looking fora dynamic and enthusiastic Head & Neck Surgeon to join ateam of 7 Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. The Trust is goingthrough a period of redevelopment, having attractednational investment to deliver a critical care hub for Kent andMedway. A new 24-bed Intensive Care Unit has been built atthe Willian Harvey Hospital, to include bespoke trainingfacilities, including dedicated space for in-situ simulationtraining. The William Harvey site is also the Trauma centrefor East Kent. Robotic Head & Neck surgery is offeredthrough the Kent and Canterbury site which is also thevascular centre for Kent & Medway.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality Maxillo Facial Surgical patient services, including elective and emergency, outpatient, day-case and inpatient management. The Consultant will be responsible for prioritising patient lists for outpatient appointments and admissions within the nationally defined targets.

  • Holds CCT or specialist registration or will obtain within 6 months of interview
