This post is offered on a full time (10 PA) basis although less than full time applications will be considered and additional DCC PA may be offered through negotiation depending on service need.
Duties will be primarily based on our Wakefield (Pinderfields) site although all our medical staff are involved in delivering care to patients on all our sites with expectations of potential on-site presence at Dewsbury, Pontefract and/or our Community Diagnostic Centre in Wakefield.

A brief description of the post:
The post is primarily to complement the existing Head & Neck Radiology team comprising 3 consultant radiologists, who have shared commitments across other subspecialties.
The successful candidate will support and enable the team to deliver a sustainable excellent service throughout the year for acute and elective pathways including a substantial cancer workload in the context of increasing demands and service delivery expectations.
They will report specialist MRI and CT, perform ultrasound-guided intervention and support the weekly cancer multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting.
The department currently comprises 43 consultant radiologists, with a mix of full-time and less-than-full-time posts, who provide a wide range of subspecialist and general radiological services.
General radiology diagnostic skills are essential and the post holder is expected to contribute to the departmental general radiology workload, including acute CT.
