As a CT Radiographer, you’ll perform a wide range of CT scans, contributing to a 7-day imaging service. You’ll work closely with Team Leaders, Advanced and Specialist Practitioners, and Consultant Radiologists to ensure high-quality, patient-centred imaging services. Main duties of the job

As a CT Radiographer, you will:

  • Perform a wide range of CT scans at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, including rotation between the main site in Truro, West Cornwall Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre, and Bodmin CDC, including a variety of patients such as Emergency Department attenders, Out Patients and In Patients.
  • Deliver high-quality imaging services as part of a 7-day rota, including shift work and nights.
  • Work collaboratively
  • Justify radiology referralsin line with NICE guidelines
  • Administer intravenous contrast agents and drugsunder supervision, following Patient Group Directions (PGDs).
  • Ensure radiation safety compliance
  • Support and supervisestudents, assistant practitioners, and junior staff.
  • Contribute to clinical governance
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment,

We’re seeking candidates who are:

Qualified and Registered

  • Hold a DCR(R)or BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

A Team Player

  • HCPC registration
  • DCR( R) or BSc Hons (Radiography) in Diagnostic Imaging

  • Proven competency in Computed Tomography
