Exciting Opportunity for Aspiring Systemic Family Therapists!

Are you currently studying for your MA in Systemic Practice and looking for a new and exciting role? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team for a Band 7 position on qualification, up until then you would be employed as a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner, that would be involved into our Family Therapy Clinic.

Role:

Work with Families: Engage with families in our established family therapy clinic.

Support Systemic Thinking by Contributing to MDT meetings, team meetings, and peer group supervision.

Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and creative therapists.

Specialised Teams: Collaborate with the Eating Disorder Community Team.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Relevant degree or equivalent level qualification.
  • Professional knowledge acquired through training
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Experience of working with complex systemic presentations
  • Experience of systemic practice
  • Qualification in systemic family practice

Desirable

  • Ability to demonstrate on-going learning and development.
  • RMN/RN, Clinical Psychologist / Social Worker / Occupational Therapist

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Working knowledge of the Children Act and Mental Health Act (1983).
  • Working knowledge of child protection issues.
  • Ability to write, implementing and evaluating Treatment Plans including identification of risk

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of other specialist therapeutic approaches, eg CBT

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working with young people with mental health problems in a CYPMH or Adult setting.
  • Experience of providing clinical consultation
  • Ability to undertake risk assessments

Desirable

  • Experience of being involved in multi-agency meetings
  • Experience working with other agencies e.g. education, social care
