We have a new and exciting opportunity for a band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our team based at St Marks Hospital in Maidenhead.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of an experienced team of therapists in a mix of community settings, early years settings, homes and schools having independence and autonomy to manage your own caseload.
In your role you will be expected to deliver a high standard of occupational therapy care to children and young people with developmental and complex needs,therefore for this role we are looking for someone with a real passion for seeing young children reach their potential.
As part of an integrated therapy team, you will have the opportunity to share and learn from Speech and Language Therapists and Physiotherapists working alongside you. We value the development of our staff and offer training opportunities as led by service/local population needs.
Our core working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 but we can offer flexibility around this. The role will involve some travel to clinic/educational settings but also leaves room for some remote/home working. Permanent part-time position available,full-time options considered.
Main duties of the job
- Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs
- Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the CYPIT model and providing support to more junior staff
- Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records and provide written therapy plans and reports including contribution to the EHCP Assessment process and tribunals as required
- Use the Care Aims care planning approach, impact-based clinical decision making, and associated outcome measures
- Provide specialist clinical care including assessment,diagnosis and interventions, fora paediatric caseload

- Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registered

- IT skills – proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams

- Masters degree in relevant area OR evidence of relevant experience within area of specialism, together with relevant short courses and/or post graduate training within a relevant field
- Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent relevant post graduate courses
Previous Experience

- Evidence of experience in the field of specialism to a level of in depth knowledge and expertise
- Comprehensive range of supervisory experience
- Contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants
- Experience of working with families from a wide variety of backgrounds including age and ethnicity.
