Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. You will be responsible for gathering, processing, and analysing data to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency. This role requires proficiency in various data analysis tools and methodologies, as well as a solid understanding of database design.
Duties
- Collect, clean, and organise data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct thorough data analysis using statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain databases to support data storage and retrieval.
- Create visual reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support for business initiatives.
- Utilise programming languages such as R or VBA to automate repetitive tasks and enhance data processing efficiency.
- Perform business analysis to identify opportunities for improvement within the organisation’s processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Strong skills in database design and management.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R, along with experience in visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with scripting languages including Bash Unix shell is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex datasets.
- Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
