This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system for South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to cutting-edge integration and support of clinical systems, ensuring the Trust’s clinical applications run smoothly and efficiently.
Main duties of the job
Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with the SLaM EPR programme team, Clinical Systems, and the Supplier to ensure seamless integration of solutions and workflows across the EPR system.
Technical Leadership: Serve as a highly developed subject matter expert, guiding the design and direction of software solution developments in line with the Trust’s informatics strategy to support effective patient care and staff functions.
Programme Execution: Develop and implement technical activities within the programme timeline, acting as an escalation point for issues.
Collaboration: Work with the entire team to develop and deliver the Trust’s clinical system applications, meeting the needs of the Trust and its users.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to Master’s Level or equivalent experience
- Service / project management qualification e.g. ITIL, MSCE, MSC or equivalent; MSP, PRINCE2 or similar
- Evidence of continued IT professional development
Desirable
- IT qualification in MS Office or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Knowledge and experience of systems in a mental health NHS setting, and delivering benefits through the implementation of technology
- Understanding of Information Governance, SOPs and other governance, National and Professional standards of practice or other regulations.
- Strong solution architecture and design approach
- Relational SQL experience with large data sets, views and stored procedures
- XML/XSLT/HTML/JavaScript/C# or other forms of programming Client-side JavaScript libraries, such as jQuery, etc
- Experience working upon services/technologies mandated by NHS England digital roadmap
- Analyse and solve programming tasks independently and pro-actively
