Dietetic Support Worker: Sponsorship Available

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to work closely with the Paediatric Dietetic team in a support worker role as a one-year fixed term contract (terminating 31/10/25). This post will involve working very closely with the Dietitians to support patient discharges, organise nutritional supplements and deliveries to patient’s homes, and support with administrative processes. Training and support for the clinical roles and responsibilities outlined in the job description.

Main duties of the job

Principle Duties To be responsible for organising delivery of nutritional supplements using specified companies.

To support the paediatric dietitian in Catering-related tasks and attend meetings.

To assist with completion of Home Enteral feeding administration for children discharged home on Enteral Feeds (in house training will be provided)

To contribute to setting up and be responsible for maintaining operational systems within the department.

To achieve and maintain competencies through skills and knowledge development.

To collect and record patient information in EPR in line with departmental guidelines.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Achieved grade C in English at GCSE or equivalent
  • Experience of team working

Desirable

  • Working in an NHS setting
  • Experience in IT systems such as Microsoft 365, digital records
