Working to the Head of Digital Systems but in partnership with the Trusts Development Manager, Digital Services management team and Technical Services management team to provide technical direction, influence our overall technology roadmap as well as lead the critical component of system interoperability through the Trusts Integration Engine development. You must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have extensive technical experience. You will be working in a friendly, flexible but relatively small team environment, where your role will also take you to all corners of the Trusts services both within and outside of the immediate hospital arena.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for all technical solutions relating to software/data Integration and interoperability between digital systems across the trust and community. This is primarily achieved through integration architecture work as part of the Trust Integration Engine. Working with the software development and systems support teams (as well as other key stakeholders).

Qualifications

Essential

  • Management qualification or proven experience through practice
  • Additional specialist knowledge gained through education and experience to Masters level

Desirable

  • Master’s Degree level qualification in Information Technology or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and/or experience

Experience/Skills

Essential

  • Requires an advanced knowledge of complex software development tools and technologies
  • Expertise in the field of software solutions and integration, as well as detailed technical knowledge of software architecture to support the creation of new software solutions to meet clinical needs regarding innovative ICT solutions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Visual Studio, BizTalk, Rhapsody, SharePoint and SQL Server
  • Requires advanced knowledge of systems integration, interface technologies, configuration management and development technologies and standards
