Duties
– Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
– Create and develop new menu items, taking into consideration customer preferences and dietary restrictions
– Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines
– Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels
– Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as necessary
– Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
– Collaborate with management to develop and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following sanitation standards
Skills
– Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff
– Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques and cooking methods – Proficient in food safety practices and regulations
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
– Experience in menu planning and development, considering customer preferences and dietary restrictions
– Ability to handle pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations
– Knowledge of culinary trends and ability to incorporate them into menu offerings The Chef position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. A culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required.
