Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is embarking on an exciting transformation journey as we prepare to implement a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Informatics Business Partner to play a key role in shaping, delivering, and embedding this major digital change programme across the organisation.
Please note that this is a fixed-term opportunity working on the EPR Project. This role is to provide secondment cover for the substantive post holders who are due to return to their roles in February 2027.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join Salisbury Hospital’s Information Services team as a Business Partner. You will work closely with operational and clinical teams in your Division and will deliver analysis to support them on delivering the best patient care.
The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the drive for improved data literacy and data governance across the Trust, embedding the use of self-service BI and engaging divisions to guide them toward intelligent decision making. They will have a key role in the implementation of a new business intelligence tool for the Trust and supporting the division alignment project whereby members of the team become aligned to Trust divisions.

- Degree or equivalent in numerical subject, and evidence of continuing professional development
- At least 2 years’ experience in information analysis and interpretation
- Experience of working in a complex and demanding environment
- Strong statistical and analytical knowledge, with the ability to interpret and present conclusions, both written and verbal, to a wide range of customers
- Experienced in working with and managing complex data sets
- Knowledge of SQL Server programming and administration tasks relevant to data processing and transformation
- Good knowledge of advanced features of Microsoft Excel 2010, including writing complex formulae, pivot tables and lookups, to manipulate and present data
- Highly skilled in the interpretation and presentation of data, with the ability to adapt style to suit the target audience
Desirable
- Specialist knowledge and experience of information management and business intelligence in an NHS information analyst role
- Experience relevant to working in an acute Trust
- Experience of mentoring staff, including those that are not data literate
- An expert knowledge of NHS reporting, structures, content and data standards
- Previous experience with Power BI
