Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Interventional Radiology Consultant with an academic and research interest to join our expanding Interventional Radiology team in a substantive post. This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the largest and most advanced NHS Trusts in the UK, serving a diverse population and delivering complex tertiary care.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality IR services across UHB, supporting elective, emergency, and on call IR pathways. Then candidate will also be expected to have a secondary interest in abdominal cross-sectional imaging and participate in complex pancreatitis MDT.

You will join a well-established, friendly, and forward thinking multidisciplinary team dedicated to innovation, training, and excellence in patient care.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • *MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • *FRCR or equivalent
  • *Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
  • *Minimum of 3 years clinical experience within chosen sub-specialty area
  • *Ability to verify complete details of employment history.
  • *Available to start within 4 weeks of interview
  • *CCT in Interventional Radiology.
  • *Evidence of Continuing Professional Development including CME
