Job Summary
Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Data Engineer to spearhead our digital transformation initiatives and improve Powys’ healthcare data integration.
The Lead Cloud Data Engineer will play a crucial role in developing Cloud-based data solutions that integrate clinical and administrative data across departments, partner Health Boards, Trusts, and Social Care organisations. This role is key to enhancing patient care coordination through the development of analytics platforms and shared care record systems.
This is a permanent full-time position within the Digital Directorate.
The role is based in Bronllys Hospital, although agile working is encouraged and supported. Successful applicants must be able to occasionally travel and work on site, with a flexible approach to home working.

Main duties of the job
Main duties:
Design and implement Cloud-based data solutions
Develop and maintain data pipelines for clinical and administrative systems
Design data integration processes between healthcare applications
Lead the technical development of a shared care record system
Drive adoption of FHIR standards and emerging technologies
Chair high-level meetings and present to stakeholders
Ensure data quality, governance, and security
Collaborate with stakeholders across NHS Wales and commissioned English Trusts
