Job summary
We are looking for an exceptional, forward-thinking pharmacist to join our senior pharmacy leadership team as Lead Pharmacist for Haematology Services, based at Nevill Hall Hospital. This is a pivotal role providing strategic and operational leadership for specialist haematology pharmacy services across the Health Board.
You will lead, deliver and continuously develop a high-quality, patient-centred clinical pharmacy service across inpatient, day-case, ambulatory and outpatient haematology settings. Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will drive innovation and service transformation aligned to national cancer standards and NHS Wales priorities.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and modernise key areas including systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) services, electronic prescribing systems and clinical trials. You will work in partnership with aseptic services to ensure a safe, seamless end-to-end treatment pathway, while providing expert leadership in medicines optimisation, governance and patient safety.
As a senior leader within the site management team, you will influence strategy, lead workforce development and contribute to Health Board and All-Wales initiatives. You will also support the development of advanced clinical practice within your team, including independent prescribing roles.

- Lead SACT service development and digital innovation (e.g. prescribing systems)
- Ensure robust clinical governance, safety and medicines optimisation
- Manage and develop pharmacy staff and support workforce transformation
- Contribute to site, Health Board and All-Wales programmes
About you
- GPhC-registered pharmacist with postgraduate clinical training
- Significant senior-level experience in haematology and/or oncology pharmacy
- Advanced knowledge of SACT and specialist clinical pharmacy practice
- Proven leadership, service development and governance experience
- Excellent communication, influencing and team-working skills
- Independent prescriber (or willing to undertake)

- Post grad exp in hospital pharmacy with substantial period at senior level in Haematology and/or Oncology
- Recent experience of ward service provision
- Proven ability to work independently at an advanced level
- Proven ability to deliver innovations within service delivery
- Advanced specialist knowledge of pharmaceutical care of patients receiving SACT
