London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in Coronary Intervention to join our dynamic Cardiology Department.

The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery and development of interventional cardiology services whilst supporting the wider cardiology service in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide consultant-led care for patients with coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
  • Undertake coronary intervention procedures within our established interventional cardiology service.
  • Participate in elective and emergency cardiology services.
  • Contribute to inpatient and outpatient cardiology activity.
  • Support service development, quality improvement and innovation within the department.
  • Participate in departmental teaching, education and clinical governance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust and wider North West London Integrated Care System.

Person Specification

Registration

Essential

  • GMC Registered with a Licence to Practice

Desirable

  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology or expected within six months of interview.

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Broad based training in Cardiology and its subspecialities

Desirable

  • NHS experience within the last 3 years

Management and Audit

Essential

  • Evidence of implementing quality improvement

Desirable

  • management qualification or current study towards it

Personal Skills

Essential

  • Evidence of effective communication with colleagues and wider stakeholders
