Job Summary

We have a vacancy for a motivated Assistant Radiographic Practitioner to join the team at the Northwick Park Hospital Site

We will work as part of a team of State Registered Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners promoting good working practices and ensuring good quality care is given to all patients in the Radiology and MRI departments.

Main duties of the job

  • To perform basic MRI examinations within the limits of individual modules achieved from a recognised accredited training course, and not to exceed those boundaries.
  • To carry out all diagnostic procedures to the highest possible standard in line with departmental protocols and procedures.
  • To report equipment faults to the supervising radiographer and take appropriate action.
  • Understand and observe the principles of MRI safety and participate in theassociated QA programmes.
  • To promote total quality care for patients.

Person Specification

Educational and Clinical Qualification

Essential

  • Must have completed the MRI Assistance Practitioner Course program

Desirable

  • Must a good experience and background working in an MRI clinical facility
  • Must have up to date, current trust mandatory training requirement

Experience

Essential

  • Must have at least 3 years experience working as a Radiology Department Assistant
