Job Summary

Kangaroo Ward is a 9-bedded transitional care unit that cares for children and young people with complex medical needs, in preparation for their discharge home. We, also care for children requiring non-invasive ventilation and nasopharyngeal airways.

Our focus is to provide holistic care in a friendly environment and to act as a bridge between hospital and home, to empower parents and carers with their child’s complex medical needs through teaching and supporting them to feel confident in caring for their child at home. We work very closely with Leopard Ward (acute respiratory ward) and the Respiratory Sleep Unit.

We are committed to the delivering the best care for our patients. The successful candidate will share this commitment and demonstrate our Trust values.

Main duties of the job
