Job Summary

We have an RARE opportunity for a Band 3 Support Worker OR a 4 Nursing Associate to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis. There is the potential for development within the Band 3 post if appointed.

We work with people from 14-65 years old who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

We are based at Northgate Hospital, but cover the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area, including Lowestoft and Beccles and regularly need to travel and support people in their communities.

Main duties of the job

To support service users in the delivery of a range Early Intervention in Psychosis interventions, including a focus on social recovery, supporting our drop in group, supporting people with complex mental health problems with their goals.

Depending on your experience and appropriate training and Banding, the role might include supporting people with physical health interventions.

The role includes supporting groups, seeing service users in their home and at mental health bases.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nursing Associate – on the NMC Register
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care/mental health or apprenticeship in H&SC/mental health L5

Desirable

  • Care certificate

Experience

Essential

  • Working with Service Users with mental health needs
  • Working within Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of CPA process.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of Mental Health issues
  • Risk Assessment
