This is an excitingcross-site rotational role where you will gain specialist skills and knowledge to help develop and guide you through your career.

We have full time/ part time and fixed term vacancies available.

Face-to-face interviews will be held in Bristol or Weston.

Main duties of the job

Main duties and responsibilities:

Within this role, you will rotateacrossa variety of specialities and sites across both City & Weston. These rotations include:

  • Medicine
  • Trauma and Orthopaedics
  • Critical Care, Cardiac and Surgery
  • OlderPerson Therapyincluding Front Door
  • Stroke
  • Paediatrics

During your rotation,you’llbe building relationships with new teams and adapting to new environments, all that offeruniquebenefits andincentivessuch as:

  • Protected and regular Clinical supervision from a Senior OT /Team Lead OT/ Clinical Specialist OT

Person Specification

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Completion of Occupational Therapy Degree
  • Current HCPC registration (or due to receive Summer 2026)

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Completion of a variety of pre-registration placements including a hospital-based placement
  • Other related experience in a care or rehab setting, either before or after qualifying
  • Evidence of team working

Aptitudes

Essential

  • Credible & mature attitude, which is recognised & respected by other staff
  • Demonstrates a commitment to own professional development.
  • Demonstrates trust values – supportive, respectful, innovative, collaborative
  • Desire to work for UHBW

Abilities

Essential

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for this post
  • Able to initiate discussions with new people & discuss issues with fluency & confidence

  • Able to explain the OT role to others
  • Able to identify own learning needs & recognises limits of own knowledge & seeks help & advice when needed

  • Able to recognise own supervisory needs & responds positively to suggestions for development
  • Planning and organisational skills & able to demonstrate they have the skills to delegate tasks to non-registered staff

  • Evidence of regular professional reviews and/ or portfolio
