Main duties of the job
Band 6 Therapist – Hand Therapy & Rheumatology (Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist) Are you an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist looking to expand your skills and take on a new challenge? We have a fantastic opportunity within our outpatient therapy service to work in the specialist area of Hand Therapy and Rheumatology. No extensive Hand Therapy experience? No problem!We welcome applications from motivated therapists with limited experience in Hand Therapy who are eager to learn and develop in this rewarding field. Comprehensive in-service training is provided, including monthly supervision with a senior therapist and regular team training sessions to support your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality therapy within Hand Therapy and Rheumatology outpatient services.
- Supervise junior staff and students from local universities, with full training provided to support your supervisory role.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and a Senior Therapy Assistant.

Essential
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with HCPC
- Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including recent attendance at relevant post-graduate courses

Experience and Knowledge

- Minimum 18 months to 2 years post-graduate experience
- Previous experience in specialist clinical area
- Band 5 rotational experience
