Job Summary
The Pharmacy Department at East Cheshire NHS Trust are looking for outstanding applicants with a high degree of enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment to train and study to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for a 24 month fixed term contract to train as a Pre Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
Applicants should have the equivalent of 4 GCSEs at grade C and above, including English language, Mathematics, Science and one other subject at the point of entry. Applicants who do not have the required Science GCSE would still be able to apply if they have substantial pharmacy experience and have completed the Pharmacy NVQ Level 2 qualification. All other entry requirements remain the same. Certificates for these qualifications must be available.
Training will consist of two years of consecutive work-based experience under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician. It will also involve day release to tutor-led online classes one day a week through our education provided, Bradford College. Applicants must have reasonable IT skills. Upon satisfactory completion of the training period you will be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Technician via the General Pharmaceutical Council.
