Join our 2-year structured training programme and gain hands-on experience across acute care and outpatient services.You’ll rotate across diverse specialities–including medicines optimisation, discharge planning, and specialist clinical areas–while completing the Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.You’ll be supported by an expert education team, who will equip you with skills in:Dispensing & accuracy checking, Patient counselling, medicines reconciliation, IT systems, Audit, SOP development, QI projects, Data analysis, safe stock management, Pharmacy workflows & discharge planning.
What you will need:GCSEs A*-C (9-4) in Maths, English, and Science NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent experience in pharmacy, desirable)
A curious mind, professional drive, and commitment to completing the apprenticeship within 24 months.
Effective communication, organisation, and a patient-first attitude.

Main duties of the job
You will join our Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician training programme, which will prepare you for your future career. This involves work place training, whilst working towards a GPhC approved qualification and assessments.
As a member of the team your duties will include, learning how to dispense prescriptions, advising patients on their medications and Medicines Management at ward level.
You will have the opportunity to experience working across the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital sites, including Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and the Royal Brompton.
One day each week, you will be given time to attend a GPhC approved education provider’s course to gain underpinning knowledge for this professional qualification.
