Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at North Tyneside General Hospital.

This is a fulltime post for experienced radiographer or specialist radiographer /fluoroscopy trained radiographer.

We are looking for two members of staff to joint the team to cover two maternity roles – and would be open to B5 radiographers.

The roles could look to include cover for plain film x-ray, fluoroscopy and /or CT.

With extended hours, Monday to Sunday there are many development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

To participate in the roster pattern, weekend working, out of hours and on calls.

The job role requires staff to work between CT and the general xray department.

The successful candidates will be required to work alongside students and assistant practitioners. A mentor programme to aid student development is available.

As part of the service the successful applicant would participate in the department rota which is primarily duties at North Tyneside General Hospital, but some cover at Wansbeck General Hospital or at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital out of hours and at weekends is included. As a trust we aim to provide cover at North Tyneside General Hospital, Wansbeck General Hospital and Hexham General Hospital when the service requires in addition to Morpeth NHS centre, Alnwick and Berwick Infirmaries, and Blyth Community Hospital.

Qualification

Essential

  • BSc in radiography or equivalent
  • State Registration(HCPC)
  • Must have evidence of ongoing CPD.

Experience

Essential

  • Up to date technical knowledge
