Job Summary

We have vacancies for Plain X-ray Band 5 Radiographers based at the Glenfield Hospital, but with rotation included to other UHL sites.

Main duties of the job

The well-equipped Radiology Department is fully DR and the plain x-ray workload includes GP access for MSK; cardiorespiratory, renal and hepatobiliary referrals; a variety of out-patient & in-patient examinations and 24/7 Theatre cover. In addition, there is an optional dental radiography rotation and we also provide a fluoroscopic procedures service.

Person Specification

Qualification

Essential

  • BSC in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC registered
  • Evidence of CPD

Experience

Essential

  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • competent IT skills
  • Sound knowlegde of Ionising Radiation legislation

Communication

Essential

  • Understanding of confidentiality
  • Understanding of team working

Desirable

  • Understands own strengths and weaknesses

Analytical & Judgement skills

  • Ability to use and act on own initiative
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
