Job summary

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Fellows from January to October 2027 in the Male Reconstruction Team. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Fellow to work within a busy, tertiary Urology service at UCLH, gaining broad clinical exposure across theatres, clinics, and inpatient care under the supervision of Consultant Urologists Daniela Andrich and Professor Anthony Mundy. The post-holder will work closely within a multidisciplinary team spanning medical, nursing, and administrative colleagues to ensure patients receive safe, timely, and effective care throughout their pathway. Alongside strong clinical duties, the post-holder expected to be actively engaged in contributing to 18-week RTT compliance and theatre list utilisation.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Fellow will hold primary responsibility for the day-to-day care of patients admitted to the service, working closely with Consultants across ward rounds, clinics, and theatre sessions. The role offers hands-on exposure to the full patient pathway, from new referrals through to ongoing follow-up, alongside opportunities to develop operative skills under consultant supervision. Given the trauma-heavy nature of urology admissions, strong multi-disciplinary teamworking and communication skills are essential, including regular engagement with MDT meetings. The successful candidate will also contribute to audit, research, and teaching, making this a well-rounded post for someone looking to build clinical, academic, and leadership experience in equal measure. Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

• Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and holds a current licence to practise

Experience

Essential

• Completion of core surgical training Substantive experience as a Specialist Registrar in Urology – post CCT level
• Proven ability and commitment to carry out high quality research, leading to publication
• Involvement in the clinical audit process and an understanding of its aims and objectives
• Understanding and proven ability to apply research findings in a clinical/organisational context
