Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time registered Nurse Associate in our award winning CYP Community Eating Disorders Team. This is a dynamic and evolving service supporting children and families in the Hertfordshire community, and by way of a new service development offering intensive day treatment and in reach support across Tier 3 to Tier 4 pathways.

Main duties of the job

This is an established role in an established service. The Nursing Associate will hold a caseload and deliver evidence-based treatment to young people suffering with an eating disorder under the supervision of the nursing team. They may also run an ECG/medical monitoring clinic and offer physical health assessment to compliment the comprehensive psychological, developmental, and social assessment undertaken by members of the MDT.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
  • Educated to a minimum level 5 Foundation degree level specific to nursing associate practice
  • GCSEs Grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent

Desirable

  • QCF in Care/Health and Social Care Level 2/3 or equivalent experience
  • Care certificate

Experience

  • Previous experience of working within a health/care setting

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • IT skills appropriate to the role
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Ability to participate in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
