Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our friendly team on Eastwood Ward, based at Southend Hospital.Eastwood Ward is an 18 bedded acute female ward, encompassing Gynaecology, general surgery patients.The ward has an associated Early Pregnancy Unit staffed independently. We also have a 24 hour Gynaecology triage unit that is staffed by a triage nurse within ours and the ward staff out of hours.

Main duties of the job

Your duties will be to ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility.

You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care to the patients.

And at times, we may ask you to act as team leader including taking charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager/Deputy Ward Manager.
