Job summary

Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust (NUH) is looking for a fulltime Rehabilitation Consultant Physician to join an existing team of 3 NHS and academic consultants providing rehabilitation services to the people of Nottinghamshire and beyond.

Main duties of the job

The postholder(s) will be full-time Consultant Physician with responsibility for Complex Rehabilitation across Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate should expect to work between our sites at all campuses.

Person Specification

Teaching, Audit & Research

Essential

  • Evidence of participation in Clinical Audit.
  • Able to teach and support junior staff effectively

Desirable

  • Original Research Publications
  • Higher teaching degree or qualification or training

Professional registration

Essential

  • Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise

Professional Qualifications

Essential

  • MBBS
  • Full MRCP

Desirable

  • Higher professional degree

Clinical Skills/Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience in Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current issues in general internal medicine.

Desirable

  • Specific training in communication skills
  • Specific training in patient safety and/or human factors

Management Skills

Essential

  • Proven leadership skills, able to lead a team effectively.
  • Able to develop, present and operationalise coherent ideas for service development/delivery

Desirable

  • Experience of change management
  • Higher management degree or qualification or training
