An exciting opportunity to recruit a SeniorCapacityManagerto theCapacity Management Team at SWB NHST has opened up, based at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital site.
Applicants are required to have the relevant experience to manage the complexities of patient flow in both the acute and community setting, manage a team, respond to incidents, and to work alongside clinical teams, external partners, Senior management and Directors to deliver safe and timely solutions for every patients.
As asenior role you are expected to lead on the delivery of projects and support change.
Main duties of the job
The role of Senior Capacity Manager requires applicants to have extensive experience of managing patient flow in the acute setting, to be able to work alongside seniormanagement to deliver safe solutions for our patients and demonstrate leadership for the Trust. Thissenior role include undertaking other projects to enhance and establish patient flow pathways and to support our quality agenda.
The post holder will also undertake the tactical commander role at the outset of an incident playing a pivotal role in co-ordinating and communicating actions.

Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience as a Health Care Manager or Health Professional in the acute sector with, responsibility for operational matters.
- Experience of working under pressure to deliver corporate and national targets.
Desirable
- Previous clinical or management experience in community services / primary care.
- Experience of working with emergency Services.
- Experience of working with Social Services in health care.
Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Possession of a management qualification at Post Graduate Diploma level or equivalent.
- Evidence of continued professional development and qualification.
Written skills
Essential
- Ability to understand and interpret complex reports and data, considering the impact on the Trust and/or Division.
- Able to prepare and analyse complex reports and policies. (Business Cases, Reports, Complaint Responses, Investigations etc.)
Responsibility for financial and ohysical resources
