Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the highly regarded Business Intelligence team at Stockport NHS FT as we continue to develop our data warehouse and Tableau business intelligence visualisations, transforming data into intelligence to support performance management, effective decision making, and service improvement.
The post of Senior Data Engineer is pivotal to drive the development and ongoing maintenance of the Trust-wide Data Warehouse and reporting/dashboard solutions. Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering and working alongside other data warehouse developers you will play a key role in the development of the Trust data warehouse, experience of working with large relational datasets and implementing data warehousing solutions is critical. You will build robust ETL processes that pull data from multiple clinical systems into thedata warehouse. You will demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of working with all aspects of SQL Server including advanced SQL, SSIS, SSRS & SSAS gained through working in a data management and information delivery environment.
Main duties of the job
Along with advanced technical and analytical skills, you will ideally have experience in working with NHS data. You will possess excellent communication skills, working with colleagues across clinical and operational teams to understand complex reporting requirements. You will also be skilled in data visualisation, delivering insightful and impactful analytics using Tableau. You will have excellent team leadership qualities, be highly motivated and will ensure tasks are delivered on time. You will be proactive and innovative in your approach to problem solving and deliver tailored solutions.
