Job Summary

North London Foundation NHS Trust is seeking to implement a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR). The EPR will be implemented across the Trust in order to improve quality & safety and to enable efficient working practises, leading to better patient experiences.

 

The EPR implementation forms an integral part of an innovative and exciting transformation programme that will provide a comprehensive digital experience, incorporating the full range of functionality required to deliver excellent patient care.

This role works in the EPR Programme Team and its purpose is to manage the integration and interfacing activities for the programme and subsequent projects.

The post holder is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the patient data interfaces (mostly HL7) between the Trust’s main clinical systems (current – iPM and iCM; Future – Enterprise EPR TBC) and various clinical systems inside and outside the Trust.

 

The post holder will ensure the day-to-day running and the correct operation of the interfaces contained in the Trust integration engines. It is essential that the post holder has Rhapsody skills and experience.

The post holder will work closely with the relevant technical and non-technical staff in order to ensure the current requirements are met, discuss and document future requirements, and report on progress and the status of any work being carried out and overall system performance

 

Main duties of the job

  • Design, develop and maintain data transfer interfaces within the Trust’s integration engines using data formats such as HL7, FHIR, XML, and communication protocols such as REST, SOAP, M(L)LP
