Main duties of the job
- engaging with children and young people with mental health difficulties and their families
- understanding clinical risk and safeguarding within a healthcare setting
- understanding other difficulties children and young people are facing
- working alongside care coordinators to offer evidenced based interventions often in the community
- work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure children, young people and their families needs are met effectively

- NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of competency-based training in a relevant health or social care area PLUS theoretical and practical knowledge to diploma level equivalent, obtained through formal competency training, short courses and experience OR successful completion of approved associate practitioner training or relevant foundation degree.
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent

- NVQ level 4 or theoretical knowledge and skills at this level
- Successful completion of approved Associate Practitioner Training or relevant Foundation Degree plus one year’s experience working with service users with mental health needs
