Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Digital Transformation Senior Test Analyst to join the newly established Digital Transformation Team.
Under the guidance of a Digital Transformation Programme Manager and working closely with Subject Matter Experts and Clinical Systems Manager , the successful candidate will be expected work collaboratively with operational and clinical colleagues and the wider digital team to improve the outcomes of our patients, citizens and families that we serve, as outlined in the Health Board’s strategy CTM 2030.
Candidates will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of testing methodologies and undertake a key role in planning the testing cycles within a complex digital transformation project. Skills include; excellent communication and organisational skills.
As a proactive and positive member of the team, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the implementation of key transformation project objectives which will enable and support the vital work of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
As a Digital Transformation Senior Test Analyst, the post holder will develop and maintain the project test strategy on projects for which Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTMUHB) is responsible for in accordance with specifications and operational requirements of CTMUHB.
To provide specialist advice, support and plans on software testing in various areas of Digital & Data to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians.
All testing work is undertaken in accordance with the testing standards as well as policies, processes and procedures as described by the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Test Framework.

This post is Fixed Term/Secondment until 30th September 2026 due to funding.

Degree and IT Related Qualification
Essential
- Degree in information and IT related subject or equivalent qualifications and experience in a technical support, service management or business analysis role. ISTQB Expert in Software Testing or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- PRINCE 2 foundation in project management. Knowledge in PRINCE2 project management and support development programmes.
Testing Qualification
Essential
- ISTQB Expert in Software Testing or equivalent experience.
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge and expertise in Software testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of load testing/automation to support the delivery of requirements in these areas. Knowledge of SQL to support defect investigations.
- Excellent knowledge of testing processes and an understanding of how this fits within an overall project lifecycle. Excellent knowledge of defect management and structured approaches to resolution of issues.
Desirable
- Understanding of NHS Clinical/administrative Information and IT requirements.
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in managing software testing in highly complex technology-based products.
- Experience of writing and implementing test strategies and plans for complex environments.
