Job summary

In this role, you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and optimising modern digital collaboration and communication solutions across the organisation, ensuring seamless user experiences and high service reliability. The ideal candidates will bring expertise in Microsoft technologies, a passion for innovation, and experience supporting enterprise-scale collaboration tools, alongside strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

Main duties of the job

Act as the overall owner of the specific transformation projects (or smaller initiatives) including understanding requirements, process analysis and process improvement

Key areas of focus:

Documenting user/service requirements in a manner that the business, service stakeholders and technical stakeholders will be able to understand.

Documenting business process using industry standard methodology e.g. process flow, user journey etc.

Using the RACI approach to manage stakeholder expectations.

Conducting Gap Analysis.

Developing new projects and service transformation activities including analysing and reviewing business processes, workshops, process mapping, benefits tracking and realisation, Standard Operating Procedures, training programmes and materials

Engaging clinicians and administrative staff in the development of specification of system configuration and reporting to meet service needs and clinical pathways

Representing the clinical systems projects at steering groups

Co-ordinating post implementation review and lessons learnt

Implementation planning, coordination and management of clinical systems projects

Person Specification

Education/ Qualification/ Training

Essential

  • Educated to Master level or equivalent knowledge and relevant experience in specialty

Desirable

  • Recognised professional project management qualification e.g., PRINCE 2 or Managing Successful Programs (MSP) or has equitable work-based experience
  • Management/leadership qualification or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • ITIL qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Educated to Master level or equivalent knowledge and relevant experience in specialty

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a leadership role
  • Advanced Microsoft office & other applications e.g., VISIO, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, MS teams Premium, Co-Pilot, AVT
  • Managing, leading and motivating small teams
  • Presentation of information to project board and other relevant governing committees

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Ability to write comprehensive, clear specifications and project documentation clearly and concisely
  • Ability to build strong relations with internal and external project stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of RiO EPR, JAC, EMIS, SystmOne; functionality and modules

Desirable

  • Systems development, support and training principles
