Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Shopkeeper to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket. As the Shopkeeper, you will be responsible for managing store activities, ensuring product availability, and maintaining high customer service standards. You will also supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure the store is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the supermarket.
  • Oversee and motivate a team of shop assistants to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ensure shelves are stocked, displays are attractive, and stock is rotated properly.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order stock as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the store.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in retail or supermarket management preferred.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for customer service.
  • Multi-lingual (ability to communicate in multiple languages is an advantage)
