Job summary

We are looking to appoint an innovative and high performing individual to join our well-established and progressive Ear, Nose and Throat Department at Kingston Hospital of Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate would complement a department of multi-disciplinary professionals, (including advanced audiologist practitioners and voice therapists), who collectively deliver acute and elective ENT services, both general and subspecialty, for all disciplines. The service is delivered as part of the Southwest London clinical network, and we have close links with St George’s Hospital and Royal Marsden Hospital where patients receive cancer treatment.

Main duties of the job

We also run ENT clinics at Queen Mary’s Hospital and Cobham Day Surgery Hospital. Our Audiology department is fully accredited by UKAS under the IQIPS version 2 standard.

A comprehensive clinical service is provided for the management and treatment of a wide range of diseases and disorders of hearing, balance, voice, swallowing, smell and taste. Our multidisciplinary service is delivered as part of an integrated care network covering South West London and Surrey.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MBChB
  • FRCS
  • Full registration with GMC

Desirable

  • MD or equivalent

Clinical Experience

Essential

  • Multi-disciplinary specialist ENT clinical working within a Hospital setting
  • Ability to deal with common emergencies in ENT

Desirable

  • An additional interest which complements the needs of the department

Skills (clinical)

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience of multi-disciplinary specialist ENT care.
  • Expert knowledge within field of clinical speciality
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
